I stacked my bike this morning

That's right, a crash. Riding along the same path I always ride on with a highly experienced rider next to me on my right, he decides he wants to turn left with no indication whatsoever. He bumps me hard and I end up climbing - then crashing - over an island in the middle of the road and take some bark off my knuckles and shin, he hits the deck hard on his left shoulder. He thought it may have been dislocated, but rode off anyway.

It's just one of those random things that happen in life.

Geezz Pete,

Not good, trust your ok and not too battered, and your bike too.

Did your riding partner admit to the mistake?

The bike picked up a couple of small scratches on the dérailleur (part of the gear changing mechanism) but otherwise OK. My partner? Well he was in a bit much pain to make too big of an issue out of it. He knew what he'd done and was just glad it didn't cause more damage.

Get out of here Peter! I can't believe what I'm reading, this mornings' ride had been so nice up until Naja and I turned off. Hope that the aches and pains which will launch themselves on you after a sleep tonight are not too bad. Glad that nothing was broken. Hi to Rita :)
